A lifetime
around fire.
Meet Marc Cardinali—the firecook whose experience at the grate became the inspiration for a firecooking kitchen.

A firecook at heart.
A maker by nature.
For Marc, food has always carried a story. Growing up in an Italian family, he watched his grandmother sing her recipes as she cooked. Those early memories shaped an appreciation for meals made with care and shared with the people around you.
As a teenager, bakery work and wood-fired pizza introduced him to a craft that would become a lifelong pursuit. Learning to read the heat, tend the coals, and work with the fire became as important as the ingredients themselves.
From flavour to fire.
That passion took shape in Cluck & Squeal. Marc brought his seasonings to demonstrations and competitions across Canada and the United States, connecting with cooks and barbecue communities far beyond his own backyard.
The Cardinal Firecooker grew from the same curiosity. Decades at the fire, experimentation, and ideas drawn from global barbecue traditions helped shape a versatile cooking system—a place to smoke, sear, roast, and keep exploring.

Good cooking starts with understanding the fire. Great gatherings give it a reason to keep burning.
Built around
the way we cook.
Every decision starts with the person tending the fire. The result is a cooking system with room to experiment, adapt, and make it your own.
Control you can work with.
Airflow, fuel, and heat work together. Cardinal’s Convect Effect™ and adjustable draft give the cook ways to shape the cooking environment.
Craft with a Canadian home.
North American steel and Canadian construction form the foundation. The details reflect the demands of live-fire cooking, from the cooking grates to the everyday touch points.
More possibilities at the table.
From backyard meals to restaurant service and events, the idea stays the same: give people more ways to cook and more reasons to gather.
Built here.
For generations.
Canada is where the Cardinal Firecooker took shape—and where we build it. Canadian construction and North American steel bring the idea to life, with the weight, strength and attention to detail that live-fire cooking demands.
Building here keeps the connection between the idea, the workshop and the finished cooker close. It supports skilled Canadian craftsmanship and reflects a simple belief: something made with care should earn its place in your life for years to come.
For you, that means a Firecooker built for everyday use, big gatherings and the next generation of cooks. Canadian roots. A lifetime of possibilities around the fire.

The story continues at the fire.
