What is a Cardinal Firecooker?

A Canadian-built live-fire cooking system that brings smoking, grilling, searing, roasting, and baking into one platform. Available techniques depend on the model and accessories you choose.

How do the four models differ?

Vermilion combines a side firebox with a caster-mounted chassis. Northern pairs a side firebox with a trailer-mounted setup. Crimson offers a caster-mounted configuration without a side firebox. Black Mask belongs to the Heritage Series and offers an optional bolt-on firebox. Compare all four models for specifications and included equipment.

What is the difference between the series?

Vermilion, Northern, and Crimson are in the Generational Series. Black Mask is in the Heritage Series, with different chamber construction and equipment options. Compare the individual specifications rather than assuming every model includes the same components.

Who is the Firecooker designed for?

Backyard cooks, restaurants, caterers, clubs, resorts, culinary schools, and mobile food businesses. The right configuration depends on your menu, space, capacity, and mobility requirements.

Where is it built?

Cardinal Firecookers are designed and built in Canada using North American steel, with stainless-steel cooking components. Construction details vary by model.

Which cooking methods can I explore?

Smoke low and slow, grill or sear over coals, roast, and explore wood-fired baking. Accessories can add options such as a flat top, pizza cooking, rotisserie, asado, or hibachi. Confirm compatibility with Cardinal for your model.

What is Convect Effect™?

Convect Effect™ is Cardinal’s airflow combustion system. Together with the cooker’s draft controls, it supports management of heat and smoke during live-fire cooking. Follow your model’s operating instructions when adjusting airflow.

What fuel does it use?

The original Firecooker guidance describes cooking with natural hardwood and lump charcoal. Follow the fuel recommendations in the instructions supplied with your particular unit and accessories.

Are all accessories included?

No. Included equipment differs by model, and many accessories are sold separately. Check the product page’s included-equipment and accessory sections, then confirm your chosen configuration with Cardinal.

Can I customize my setup?

Talk with our team about accessories, mobility, and available configuration options. We’ll confirm compatibility, availability, and pricing for the setup you have in mind.

Can I move my Firecooker?

Mobility depends on the configuration: caster-mounted models can be repositioned as directed in their instructions, while Northern is trailer-mounted. Review the handling and transport instructions for your unit before moving it.

How is delivery arranged?

Freight costs depend on shipment weight and distance. Residential and business service levels differ in unloading, placement, and packaging removal. Contact Cardinal with your destination and access requirements for confirmation.

What should I do if my delivery is damaged?

Inspect before signing, photograph any damage, and record it on the delivery receipt. Contact Cardinal promptly and retain packaging. Concealed damage should be reported within two business days.

How do I prepare and clean my cooker?

Follow the setup, seasoning, and Use and Care instructions supplied with your model. Let the unit cool completely before cleaning, and use methods suited to each material. Contact Cardinal if you need the correct guide or are unsure about a cleaning product.

Does the residential warranty cover commercial use?

No. The residential limited warranty excludes commercial use. Contact Cardinal to confirm the terms applicable to a commercial purchase.

How do I start an enquiry?

Use Find your Cardinal to share your setting, model preference, accessory interests, and timing. It creates an enquiry for our team; no payment or deposit is required.
